Pole Inspector - Dunedin

We are seeking a highly motivated person to undertake inspections of the overhead line assets for our high performing Dunedin team.

 

Reporting to the Pole Inspection Team Leader, this position involves conducting inspections and vigorous testing as per policy documents and using tablets to complete inspection reports. You will be part of a team that has responsibility for providing comments on pole conditions to Aurora Energy.

 

About you:

 

  • Experience with mechanical hands-on work;
  • Enjoy working in the outdoors;
  • Basic computer skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • The ability to plan own work and work independently;
  • You will have a sound academic record with good achievement in Secondary School level Science / Physics;
  • A high interest and/or experience in the electrical distribution industry – especially in overhead systems would be highly advantageous;

 

We will provide training to support you in your role and ongoing training will be offered for future progression within Delta.

 

To be successful in the role you will possess a good work ethic and a well organised approach with good interpersonal skills and customer awareness. You will also have strong attention to detail and a demonstrated Health and Safety focus.
